Sunday dinner was quite tasty thanks to Pinterest! We eat at home most nights, and Pinterest has been a great resource for spicing up our weekly menu. I have gotten pretty good at meal planning, and being able to decipher which recipes are practical for weeknights.
I made these Honey Maple Pecan Pork chops, served with green beans, and a sweet potato. It turned out to be the perfect fall dinner. I love the combination of the sweet honey and maple syrup, with the soy sauce.
I am always on the lookout for tasty egg-free recipes for my son. I tried out this Lemon Wacky Cake recipe for dessert last night. This is a great option for those of you who have allergies to dairy or eggs. Apparently this recipe was created during the great depression, when eggs, butter, and milk were difficult to come by, (and sugar must have been in abundance).:) There is a recipe for every flavor of cake, using this method of baking.
I used a glaze, but you could easily top with whipped cream, or frosting.
